Nero was a crazy emperor, who theoretically started a fire in Rome but blamed the christians. He killed a lot of people including his own mom. :(

Diocletion split Rome into two parts, the east was called "Byzantine" and the west was called "Rome".

The reason why the empire split into two was because of famine, the invasion, and the fact that it was becoming too big.

Constitine took control of the empire and moved the capital to Byzantine. He renamed that capital city Constitinople.

I learned there was 200 years of no major conflict in Rome and it was called the Pax Romana [Roman Peace], and that during this time the coliseum was also built.

Constantine was the first Roman Empire to stop the killing of Christians in the Roman Empire.
