hey
so i came in after school to get help and now i have my new subject but i have been looking over the internet for about an hour and i havent been able to find any information about it
and i dont know what kind of books i should look for besides my class book
If this is still what we went over from this afternoon, look back at the websites I gave you guys in the PIRATES assignment last week.
Don't worry about book sources right now - you can use your textbook and a print encyclopedia as your two books - but concentrate on creating a strong outline so you can get the most out of peer editing.
Hello Ms. Shea,
I was absent today and there's a good chance I'll be absent tomorrow too because of my illness
What does that mean for me?
- Kevin Atkins
okay what sheet would the websites be on?
where is the sample?
http://issyhistory.shea.googlepages.com/sampleessayoutline
That's where the example of the outline is if that's what you're talking about
hey
so my thesis is: (queen elizabeth was the most brilliant yet ruthless leader of her time.) and im doing the torture and punishment part of elizabethan england. im now working on the outline and im having problems finding 3 arguments i could make on the subject. could you help?
- Ciara Scherer
hi ms. shea.. so i forgot how to do the citations for the outline on the evidence parts..
Okie...
Kevin: Email me at sheas(@)issaquah.wednet.edu and I'll go over what you'll need to figure out.
Ciara: Do you mean you're having trouble building your method statment, or finding facts to support one of your paragraphs?
Beau: The links are on the blog post from when I assigned the PIRATES homework on Elizabethan England. Go look in the posts from the past two weeks, and you'll see it.
im having trouble building my method statement..
- Ciara
Ciara: Your method statment should talk about three reasons/ways she was brilliant or ruthless. You can have two of one and one of the other, or vice versa.
What do you have so far for those reasons?
i dont think their right but i have...
1. she refused to marry therefore there would be no heir to her throne.
2. She didnt tolerate treason..
-ciara
Ciara:
Those are more like facts than overall arguments. Think about why they are significant, what they say about her - go to a higher level.
Go back to your graphic organizer and your research, and see if you can make a list of all the ways she was ruthless and brilliant, and then organize them - how are they similar, what common threads can you find, etc. - and then from there, create your method.
Your method statement should then outline three ways you think she is brilliant/ruthless.
Hello Ms. Shea,
I was wondering what the topic sentence needs to contain.
My first argument is about how Elizabethan Theater faced controversial hardships due to religious conflicts
-Kevin Moon
Think of your topic sentence like the thesis to that paragraph. It should state the main point you'll argue in that paragraph while also hooking the reader's interest.
ms shea
so i have my thesis block done but now that i have it i dont know what i should use for facts and all that
is there any way that i can just come in tomorrow morning pretty early and u can help me with the facts and stuff and i can try to get as much done then for the peer editing?
because i am so lost with what im doing
Hey,
So I am having some trouble not making all my facts sound to similar. I have like 15 pages of information and was wondering if I could come in before school and you could help me with what I have left.
