Hey everyone - I hope you have a lovely break. I know Tuesday was a bit crazy (sorry US classes that I didn't get to see you at all!), but I hope things will settle down when we get back.
Please don't forget about your outside reading project, due on January 11th.
US classes - be prepared to turn in your political cartoon and analysis when we return. The civil war quiz has been postponed until the Monday AFTER we return from break (not the Friday). I don't have a study guide prepared yet, but you should start to think about causes of the Civil War, study the strategies of the N. and S. and make sure that you have an understanding of Reconstruction (if you're still fuzzy, skim your book chapters or take notes, that will help immensely on the quiz).
EURO - if you want to get a head start on the reading that will be the week we return, you can read and take notes on the last two sections of Chapter 21.

I think Ms Shea said that she would be in Britain for winter break, so she won't be able to reply. :(
for the outside reading assignment, we don't have to use the 10 new words in the report do we?
I had a question about that too... are we supposed to integrate the words into our report or just put them at the end with definitions?
Ms. Shea, I know you're probably coming back from Britain right around now but I am just unsure on how this essay is supposed to sound. Is it like formal style or more of a personal style.
I think it would be really helpful if in class you could show examples if you have any.

There is no way that I am going to be able to write 2 pages....
please extend the due date on the book report!!! I have so many questions to be answered! what do we do with the vocab...you gave us what to write for 3 paragraphs, but we need to write 4...helllp!
she's not going to extedn the date, guys. you know she assigned htis back in october, right? maybe you should start paying attention more.
